Introducing BREAKDOWN S/S 24: CFDA Member JKEEFER's Debut at NYFW
EntSun News/10999876
NEW YORK - EntSun -- We are excited to share the success of SERIES 04 | BREAKDOWN Presentation + Heavy Show by CFDA Interim Member JKEEFER, on September 11, 2023. This groundbreaking NYFW debut redefined the fashion presentation with its distinctive blend of hardcore inspiration and unpretentious luxury followed up by three hardcore bands playing. It can be seen here: JKEEFER | NYFW SS24
JKEEFER's debut collection drew creative inspiration from the Hardcore scene, celebrating community, individuality, and artistic freedom. The renowned Saint Vitus bar in Greenpoint provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable night of fashion and music synergy.
Notable pieces included the "Stabb'' shirt, which mirrored the chaos of a live show with its erratic bleach treatment, and the "Rollins Runner" shorts, inspired by Henry Rollins' signature look, elevated by Italian Stretch Twill. The "Ian Zipper Jacket '' in aniline-tanned Italian cowhide, the "Cave Coat" made a bold statement with its sharp silhouette crafted from Italian recycled wool/polyester faille. Additionally, JKEEFER paid homage to the archetypal MA-1 bomber in his own way.

JKEEFER's commitment to fostering a sense of community and belonging was evident through their collaboration with iconic brands. Dr. Martens, a symbol of rebellious self-expression, proudly sponsored the event and supplied footwear. Good Art HLYWD joined the celebration with sterling silver ball chains, jewelry, and collaboration pins. The bands, Doubt It! from Detroit, Roll Call from NYC, and Pissed Jeans from Philadelphia, took the stage once the models exited and kicked the after party off.
SERIES 04 | BREAKDOWN was not just a collection; it was a statement. It was fashion that was for anyone but not everyone, just like the Hardcore scene itself. It was a love letter to East Coast hardcore, and beautifully Italian-made clothing seen through hazy lights and loud nights.
Unpretentious luxury defined JKEEFER's world. This fashion show broke down the barriers of the traditional men's uniform, inviting attendees to embrace a new era of style and self-expression.
