EntSun News/11101546
NEENAH, Wis. - EntSun -- The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) is pleased to announce that Inland Packaging – Neenah has achieved its first SGP certification, recognizing the facility's commitment to sustainable print and packaging operations, responsible manufacturing and continuous improvement.
SGP certification is the printing and packaging industry's leading sustainability management system (SMS), recognizing facilities that take a comprehensive approach to environmental, health and safety stewardship, social responsibility and operational excellence. Certification confirms that Inland Packaging – Neenah has met SGP's rigorous standards for sustainability across its operations.
"Inland's first SGP certification reflects the kind of commitment that moves the print and packaging industry forward," said Birdley James, Chair of the SGP Board of Directors. "The Neenah team has demonstrated leadership not only through SGP certification, but also through its participation in Wisconsin's Green Tier Program, showing how facilities can pursue both local recognition and national industry standing."

Inland Packaging – Neenah was also recently accepted into the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources'(DNR) Green Tier Program as a Tier 1 participant. Green Tier recognizes organizations committed to improved environmental outcomes and supports companies that use environmental management systems to embed sustainability into decision-making. For Wisconsin printers, the relationship between SGP and the Wisconsin DNR Green Tier Program creates a meaningful pathway to pursue both certifications. The Wisconsin DNR recognizes SGP certification, helping printers maximize local recognition through Green Tier while also earning national, industry-specific recognition through SGP.
Inland specializes in manufacturing labels and packaging for food, beverage and consumer products. According to the Wisconsin DNR, the Neenah facility is continuing efforts to reduce landfill waste, energy use and volatile organic compound emissions, as well as begin measuring and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

"Together with our participation in Wisconsin's Green Tier Program, this recognition reinforces our commitment to responsible manufacturing, continuous improvement and helping customers advance their own sustainability goals."
