ICEBlock Tracker App Removed From Apple Store
EntSun News/11073498
Move Comes From Growing Pressure and Also Threats of Prosecution
WASHINGTON - EntSun -- Apple has removed the ICEBlock app from the App Store due to "objectionable content" according to at least three unconfirmed reports, one citing the developer.
Apple reportedly said: "We created the App Store to be a safe and trusted place to discover apps. Based on information we've received from law enforcement about the safety risks associated with ICEBlock, we have removed it and similar apps from the App Store."
This move comes as a growing number of government officials have condemned the app for causing two shooting deaths and numerous attacks on ICE and other immigration enforcement agents, and calls for the operator to prosecuted for violation of 18 U.S. Code § 111 (https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/111) which provides that any person who "impedes, intimidates, or interferes" with any federal official "while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties" is guilty of a federal felony

That clearly includes those who attempt to storm ICE facilities, block or throw stones at ICE vehicles, and assault or even shoot at ICE officials, says public interest law professor John Banzhaf, whose legal analysis has shown how such a prosecution is warranted and not foreclosed by the First Amendment - as reported by the National Review.
