Governor Abbott Appoints Baimbridge, Mayne To Texas Violent Gang Task Force

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Alison Baimbridge and Russell Mayne to the Texas Violent Gang Task Force. Baimbridge, a resident of Missouri City, will serve as the chief prosecutor of vehicular crimes for the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office. She is also an adjunct professor at Baylor University School of Law.

Baimbridge brings a wealth of experience to the task force, with memberships in various legal organizations such as the State Bar of Texas (SBOT), Texas District & County Attorneys Association (TDCAA), and the Southern District of Texas. She is also a member of the Gus George Advisory Board and volunteers her time at the Houston Food Bank and New Hope Church. Baimbridge holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston.

Joining Baimbridge on the task force is Russell Mayne, who hails from Lubbock. Mayne currently serves as the assistant district attorney for the border prosecution unit at the Lubbock County Criminal District Attorney's Office. He is also a member of SBOT and TDCAA.

In addition to his legal work, Mayne is actively involved in his community, serving on the personnel committee at Lakeridge Methodist Church and coaching at Lubbock Cooper Little League. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University (TTU) and a Juris Doctor from TTU School of Law.

The Texas Violent Gang Task Force aims to form strategic partnerships among local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies to effectively track gang activity and prevent its growth and spread statewide. Both Baimbridge and Mayne's extensive backgrounds in law make them valuable additions to this important task force. Their terms will expire at the pleasure of Governor Abbott.
