Fisherman Never Lies Launches an Online Store for People Who Don't Trust a Word Their Fisherman Says
EntSun News/11101643
New e-commerce brand sells fishing apparel, drinkware, and gifts, but refuses to sell a single rod, reel, or lure.
NEW YORK - EntSun -- Fisherman Never Lies (FNL) opened today at fishermanneverlies.com, an online store built around a simple observation: fishermen exaggerate, and everyone already knows it.
The brand skips the gear aisle entirely. No rods. No reels. No tackle boxes. Instead, FNL sells t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, and accessories designed for two kinds of customers: the fisherman who wants to wear his own bad reputation, and the person buying him a gift who has heard every one of his stories twice.
"We're not trying to make anyone a better angler," said Onur, founder of FNL. "We're making the gift store for people who love someone who fishes. Father's Day, Christmas, retirement, groomsmen gifts. The occasions repeat every year. So do the stories."
FNL's mascot, Captain Never Lies, appears throughout the site and its products: gray beard, weathered hat, polarized sunglasses, coffee in hand, and a straight face while describing a fish that got bigger every time he told the story. The brand's content runs through recurring formats including the Captain's Log, the Lie Collection, Witness Statements, and a newsletter called the Weekly Whopper.

"Every fisherman has a version of the truth," Captain Never Lies said. "Mine just happens to be the correct one."
Most fishing apparel brands sell a version of coastal cool or technical performance. FNL sells the joke everyone already tells at the dock, printed on a shirt. The company designs its apparel in single-color, screen-print-friendly styles, including sketchy line art, retro badges, and bold silhouettes, built for heather navy and heather charcoal fabric.
FNL plans to expand its gift guides ahead of the holiday season and introduce a fishing license guide series covering individual states, starting with Alabama and Florida. The company has also started production on short comedy videos featuring Captain Never Lies for Instagram and TikTok.
