EntSun News/11071753
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16, 2025 ~ On November 20, 2025, the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles and virtual attendees from around the world will come together for End Well 2025. This summit, hosted by actor and activist Tembi Locke and producer and advocate JJ Duncan, aims to unite artists, healthcare providers, policy leaders, storytellers, and caregivers for a day of transformative conversations and hands-on learning.
The theme of this year's summit is "Radical Bravery" - the courage to show up for one another even in uncomfortable, uncertain, or heartbreaking situations. Attendees can expect a blend of mainstage dialogues, immersive workshops, and meaningful networking opportunities that will provide tangible tools to turn insight into action.
One of the main focuses of this year's summit is dementia and those who care for individuals with cognitive decline. Emma Heming Willis, an advocate and entrepreneur who has championed dementia care, will join award-winning actress and caregiving activist Yvette Nicole Brown for a conversation about love, resilience, and caregiving in the face of dementia.

Heming Willis shared her personal experience with dementia when her husband was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. She emphasized the importance of speaking out even when faced with criticism so that others can feel validated and supported. "These conversations are important and can't wait," she said. "Every family deserves the tools and compassion to navigate dementia with dignity and love."
Other featured speakers at End Well 2025 include New York Times bestselling author Tembi Locke; Bravo showrunner J.J. Duncan; Emmy Award-winning host Nikki Boyer; leading UK physician and bestselling author Kathryn Mannix; pastor John Onwuchekwa; Stanford Medicine Chief of Pediatric Palliative Care Justin Nathaniel Baker; funeral director Joél Simone Maldonado; mental health influencer Sasha Hamdani; and many more.
Throughout four main sessions, midday skill-building workshops, and networking opportunities, participants will explore urgent narratives shaping the end-of-life experience. These include the caregiving revolution, democratizing knowledge, advancing policy change, and building systems of support that honor human dignity. The summit will also be livestreamed globally to ensure accessibility for all. Continuing education credits will be available for social workers, physicians, and nurses.

End Well was founded in 2017 by practicing physician and science journalist Dr. Shoshana Ungerleider with the goal of changing the fact that more than half of families feel their loved one experienced a "bad death," which only adds to their grief. By bringing together voices from various fields such as medicine, design, technology, policy, and popular culture, End Well hopes to create a cultural shift where ending well becomes the ultimate measure of living well.
Dr. Ungerleider emphasized the importance of radical bravery in facing difficult moments in life with courage, compassion, and connection. "That's what End Well 2025 is all about," she said.
With its focus on transformative conversations and tangible tools for action, End Well 2025 is set to make a significant impact on how we approach end-of-life care and support those who are facing it.
