Coronavirus Covid 19 Heartfelt Song by Laura Wright

LAS VEGAS - EntSun -- Singer Laura Wright has produced a cover version of the song "No Day But Today," from the hit musical RENT. Laura sings the song with a focus on bringing hope to the world while it deals with the coronavirus and COVID 19.

During this Coronavirus pandemic, I've had a lot of time to reflect on life and where our world is now. We went from hugging to social distancing, going to the theater to staying at home binge-watching Netflix, going out to eat with friends and family to shopping 6 feet apart and foods are limited to one per person.

Schools are closed and kids are missing their friends. High schoolers won't have the chance to go to prom and make those memories that last a lifetime. People have lost their jobs, trying to figure out what to do and what the future holds.

Churches are closed and we worry for our neighbors. Our elders in nursing homes are waiting for their loved ones to hold them instead of standing outside their window confused why they won't come in.

People are passing away and loved ones aren't ready to say goodbye. Even hiking trails and the outdoors are closed. The streets, cities, and towns are quiet with the uncertainty of what is happening. As a singer in Las Vegas, I watched the entertainment capital of the world close their curtains, and was honored to be in one of the last shows standing... at Vegas! The Show.

Being at home in quarantine, I've had a lot of time to think. A lot of time to stop and look around at the world we are living in now. I don't write this to bring people down or make things worse… I actually write this to find the positive. I came across this song the other day while singing around the house. For those who don't know it… it's called No Day But Today, from the incredible musical Rent.

In the show, it has its perfecting meaning and stood out bringing everyone together. As I started singing it, I realized it fit with what we are all going through in the world. The lyrics speak volumes. It speaks of hope when we are scared, love when we fear and remembering there is no day but today.
