Colorado Springs: Mountain Metro seeks comments on Proposed Fall Service Change

~ Colorado Springs, CO- Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) has announced proposed service changes for this fall and is seeking public input before finalizing the changes. The deadline for public comments is Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026.

If approved, the proposed changes will go into effect on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026. These changes aim to improve the overall transit experience for riders and include increased frequency on certain routes and modifications to existing routes.

One of the proposed changes is an increase in Saturday evening frequency on Routes 1, 3, 5, 11 and 25 from every hour to every 30 minutes. Additionally, weekday daytime frequency on Route 24 will also be increased from every hour to every 30 minutes.

However, there will also be a reduction in Friday and Saturday evening service on Route 13 THE ZEB Downtown Ride by approximately two hours. This change is aimed at optimizing resources and improving efficiency.

Another significant change is the modification of Route 15 to include new stops at the Pikes Peak United Way Family Success Center on Verde Drive. The new stops will be located southwest of the center on Kodiak Drive.

Riders can find more details about these proposed changes and submit their comments through an online survey at MMTRANSIT.COM or by visiting Customer Service at the Downtown Terminal located at 127 E. Kiowa St during regular business hours from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Comments can also be submitted by calling 719-385-7433 or emailing transitinfo@coloradosprings.gov. MMT encourages all riders to provide their feedback before the deadline in order to ensure that their voices are heard and considered in the decision-making process for these service changes.
