Colorado Springs: Final Early Bird Hike & Bike of the season set for Aug. 26 at Garden of the Gods
EntSun News/11100612
~ As the 2026 season comes to a close, Garden of the Gods Park is offering visitors one last chance to experience the beauty of the park without motor vehicle traffic. The final Early Bird Hike & Bike event will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 26 from 5 to 8 a.m.
During this event, visitors will have the opportunity to walk, run, and bike on park roadways without worrying about cars. However, all normal park rules and regulations still apply. This includes following cycling speed limits and one-way traffic rules. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants, visitors are reminded to follow posted signage and standard rules of the road.
In order to maintain a safe environment for all users, slower individuals are asked to keep to the right side of the road while those traveling downhill have the right of way. Additionally, all users must adhere to the park's 20 mph speed limit. E-bikes and other power-driven mobility devices (OPDMD) are allowed during this event, but skateboards, longboards, inline skates, and rollerblades are not permitted.
