Colorado: New Aerospace Company Launches in Fremont County with Support from the Rural Jump-Start Program
EntSun News/11090897
FREMONT COUNTY ~ FREMONT COUNTY - In a press release today, Governor Jared Polis and the Business Funding and Incentives (BF&I) division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced that Narravity, Inc., an aerospace research and technology company, will be expanding its operations in Fremont County with support from the Rural Jump-Start program.
The expansion of Narravity's operations in Fremont County will include assembly, integration, and testing services for both national and international customers. This move is expected to create new good-paying jobs and strengthen the local economy.
Governor Polis expressed his excitement about welcoming Narravity to Fremont County, stating that "Rural Jump-Start helps businesses and creates new good-paying jobs, and strengthens local economies across the state." He also highlighted Colorado's leadership in aerospace innovation and how this new business will contribute to the growth of the thriving aerospace industry in the state.
Narravity is known for its development of microgravity laboratory infrastructure for commercial research and product development in low Earth orbit. Its platform is designed to support industries such as advanced materials, manufacturing, and biotechnology by creating repeatable, accessible laboratory environments in space.

Kei Shimada, CEO of Narravity, expressed his honor at joining Colorado's Rural Jump-Start Program and establishing a foundation for their work in Fremont County. He explained that their microgravity platform will accelerate experiments in space, making it easier, more affordable, and more frequent for companies to test materials, manufacturing processes, and new technologies.
In addition to providing research and development services to its customers, Narravity will also offer data analysis services. These include experiment integration and interface definition, payload AIT (assembly integration testing) execution, integration support during spacecraft-level integration and mission commissioning, as well as data products delivery to customers.
The Rural Jump-Start program aims to encourage economic development and job creation in economically distressed, rural counties of Colorado. It provides funding to support regional economic and workforce development activities that seek to expand local businesses, create new good-paying jobs, and strengthen and diversify local economies.
As part of the program, Narravity will receive $15,000 in grant funding to support the launch of its operations and four years of tax benefits. Eligible employees will also receive a state personal income tax credit while the company is in the program.
