City of Evansville and METS to Offer Free Bus Rides on Election Day
EntSun News/11106857
EVANSVILLE, Ind. ~ Evansville residents can ride buses and METS Mobility services for free on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, the city and the Metropolitan Evansville Transit System said.
The initiative is funded through METS' Ride Promotion Days program, which supports several free-ride days each year to encourage transit use and raise awareness of public transportation.
Mayor Stephanie Terry said the partnership is intended to make voting more accessible and ensure transportation costs do not prevent residents from participating.
