~ The City of Bloomington will mail a digital opportunity survey to 6,000 randomly selected households in the coming days. The city said recipients can be assured the survey is an official initiative and encouraged them to respond.

The survey asks about internet access and affordability, devices and digital skills. Responses will help identify remaining gaps and priorities as the city updates its Digital Opportunity Strategic Plan, according to the announcement.

Bloomington conducted the survey for the first time in 2020, which the city described as the first survey of its kind in Indiana. Findings informed the city's 2020 plan.

The survey takes about 10 minutes, and responses are confidential. Participation is limited to invited households to support statistically reliable results.
