Pioneering wholesale clock parts distributor has been serving the clock repair industry since 1981. The tradition of service and excellence continues with new owner.
AMHERST, Va. - EntSun -- Hermle North America (Hermle NA) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Black Forest Imports (BFI). Founded in 1981 by third generation clockmaker Peter H. Lickl, Black Forest Imports has been serving clock repair professionals and clock enthusiasts for almost half a century. With an extensive inventory of clock parts, keys, pendulums, dials, hands, chime rods, clock movements and much more, BFI has been a leading nationwide wholesaler of products and services essential for professional horologists.
Current BFI president, Peter J. Lickl, emphasized the legacy of service that Hermle will continue: "After 45 years of serving the clock repair community, we are proud to see Black Forest Imports become part of the Hermle North America family. Hermle will carry forward the legacy we have built; one grounded in quality products, dependable service, and lasting relationships with our customers. We are confident that our customers will continue to receive the knowledgeable support and commitment they have come to expect for generations to come."

Hermle NA will be moving the BFI operations out of North Carolina and into their Virginia facilities. Hermle North America president, Chad Eby expressed the importance of the business deal: "We have worked closely with Peter and our friends at Black Forest Imports for many years and we are honored to be given the opportunity to carry their legacy of service and customer care forward into the future. We believe this is an important shift that will greatly benefit the clock repair community in North America, and allow for the long term stability of the wholesale clock parts market here."
