AUBURN, Ala. - EntSun -- TMP Books is pleased to announce the release of Maddie's New Normal, written by Auburn, Alabama author Tammy Parker and illustrated by student Addie Gilley. This colorful picture book helps school-age children grapple with their new lives during the pandemic.
COVID-19 changed routines, habits, and general daily life for people all over the world. Maddie's struggles help children realize they are not alone. The book includes a helpful social and emotional checklist to help parents and teachers monitor the impact of the pandemic on their children.
Illustrations within the book help convey Maddie's emotions during all the changes. The colors fade away to gray as Maddie struggles with the challenges presented by the pandemic, but then the bright and cheery colors return as she finds her happiness again amid these uncertain times.

Tammy Parker, the author, lives with her family in Auburn. Serving in education for 27 years, she works primarily with children who have emotional, intellectual, and learning disabilities. Addie Gilley, the illustrator, is a high school junior living in south Georgia.
Maddie's New Normal is available in paperback, hardcover, and on Kindle, and is available on Amazon and from most major booksellers by request.
