PRESCOTT, Ariz. - EntSun -- Small-Tooth-Dog Publishing Group, an independent children's book press based in the Phoenix area, will host a free community event at Peregrine Book Company in Prescott, Arizona on Saturday, April 4, 2026. The event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is open to families, young readers, and anyone interested in children's publishing.
The morning features live storytimes and readings by Arizona authors, free crafting activities for children, and a publishing workshop open to adults and teens.
**Event Schedule**
At 10:30 a.m., Tamera Norwood, author of There's Good All Around, opens the morning with stories and reading. Norwood is a former youth librarian and Arizona resident whose picture book encourages young readers to find the good in everyday life.
At 11:30 a.m., Amanda Malek-Ahmadi, author and dancer, presents Ten Ballet Dancers, a counting book that introduces young readers to ballet terminology through movement and story.
At noon, Sean Buvala, founder of Small-Tooth-Dog Publishing, leads a free workshop titled "So, You Want to Publish a Kid's Book?" The session targets aspiring authors of all ages, including teens, and offers a practical look at what children's book publishing actually involves.

At 12:45 p.m., Buvala returns to the stage for storytelling sessions drawn from the Small-Tooth-Dog catalog, including The Moon Was Not Happy, Salt and the Sea, and The Gecko is On The Cover.
Running alongside all stage events, free crafting tables for children will be led by illustrator and artist Michelle Buvala throughout the morning. Three crafting sessions are planned, with no signup or fee required.
The full Small-Tooth-Dog Publishing book table will be available for purchase throughout the event. Titles are also available through Ingram distribution.
