Wordeee Publishes Memoir by Pauline Neri Shaver, the Founder of The Angelus
EntSun News/11077089
NEW YORK - EntSun -- Wordeee (www.wordeee.com) is proud to announce the publication of A Place to Live, to Love, to Learn: A Memoir of the Founding of The Angelus by Pauline Neri Shaver, founder of The Angelus, a renowned nonprofit residential community in Hudson, Florida.
Pauline Neri Shaver, a lifelong advocate for individuals with disabilities, built The Angelus from humble beginnings into a cornerstone of care and compassion in Florida. Founded in 1979, The Angelus has been a place of dignity, love, and lifelong care for children and adults with physical disabilities. From its humble beginnings at Pauline's kitchen table to becoming a beloved institution supported by countless families and advocates, the story of The Angelus is one of resilience and the power of community. The memoir also shares how Pauline's vision drew lifelong supporters, including country music legend Charlie Daniels. Known for his generous spirit and the way he connected with everyone at The Angelus, Daniels inspired the entire community to come together. Fundraising concerts, weekend visits, and hands-on help from architects, masons, local laborers—even inmates doing community service—led to the building of Charlie's Lodge. Today, the Lodge welcomes residents and their loved ones, standing as a testament not just to one man's generosity, but to how his big heart united a community in support of The Angelus. In this heartfelt memoir, co-authored with artist and writer Perri Neri, Pauline shares her journey, the sacrifices made to create a safe haven for others, and the community that unconditionally helped her transform a kitchen-table dream into a sanctuary recognized throughout the state of Florida and beyond.
