Wonder Gardens hosts Second Annual WonderWeen Oct. 30
EntSun News/10954638
FORT MYERS, Fla. - EntSun -- Wonder Gardens plans the Second Annual WonderWeen, a safe, outdoor Halloween-themed event that will delight children of all ages. The popular event with treats and surprises will be Sunday, Oct. 30 from noon to 2 p.m.
"We have planned an abundance of activities including collecting candy, Halloween-themed games with prizes and treats for local families," said Sarah Williamson, retail and communications manager. "Also, this year, the Wonder Gardens will be joining with zoos, animal-lovers, and thoughtful consumers nationwide by choosing Halloween candy brands that support sustainable palm oil production and distribution."
A lot of candy contains palm oil, and some of the palm oil industry has caused a major crisis for rainforests and critically endangered species around the world.
Children can explore the lushly landscaped botanical gardens and interact with more than 300 rescued, rehabilitated and non-releasable birds and reptiles as well as prizes, games, a costume contest and more.

Costumes are optional but encouraged, and the event is free to Wonder Gardens members and Bonita Springs residents. Admission is free for children under age 3, $7 for ages 3 to 12, $12 for ages 13-64 and $10 for ages 65+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
For information, visit wondergardens.org or call 239-992-2591.
