Woman-owned fashion company meets rising demand for silk scarves, shawls

CB Grey offers on-trend silk scarves with designs inspired by the positive character traits of real women
ATLANTA - EntSun -- With silk scarves back in style, one female entrepreneur and designer saw an opportunity to offer a collection of luxury silk scarves, shawls, "minis," headbands, and scrunchies with designs inspired by the stories of real woman.
Last September, Courtney Buchanan launched CB Grey, a fashion brand offering unique and affordable silk scarves for tops and head coverings as well as silk shawls, mini scarves, and scrunchies in designs Buchanan hand draws herself. Products are sold direct to consumer as well as wholesale to boutiques, with retail prices ranging from $12 to $138.
Products are available online and in 15 boutiques in six states. Since soft launching the company in September of 2020, Buchanan has sold nearly 1,500 pieces to women across the country.
Each CB Grey design is inspired by real women who possess positive character traits Buchanan feels should be celebrated. Her vision with her woman-owned fashion company is to inspire other women to find these positive traits within themselves.

"I truly believe that all of the stories behind my designs are so important," she said. "When I decided to build this brand, I knew I didn't want to just create silk scarves. My mission was to build a brand with soul – one with meaning and purpose."
Buchanan said that to her, fashion is more than just what you wear.
"Your clothing choices offer you a fresh chance every day to show the world who you are," she said. "Each CB Grey piece is intentionally designed to inspire you to feel beautiful, bold, confident and fearless -- because spoiler alert… YOU ARE."
In addition to selling stylish luxury scarves, Buchanan wants her social enterprise empower women to be their true, authentic selves. In addition to launching new designs and products, the future of CB Grey consists of partnering with philanthropic organizations to donate scarves to women and children battling cancer.
Hospitals and cancer centers interested in teaming up with the company to receive donated scarves can contact Buchanan at hello@shopcbgrey.com.
