What to Expect at Your Laser Hair Removal Appointment

Before Your Appointment

When having your consultation, we determine your specific skin type, if you will be a good candidate for laser, and to be 100% certain, we will do a test patch so you can see how the laser will work on you. If time permits, we can do both the consultation and an appointment on the same day.

Some key things to remember to prepare for your laser appointment are:

-Do not tweeze
-Do not wax

For 4 weeks prior to appointment. The reason for this is that the hair follicles need to be attached to your skin and in their growth period when you get the laser treatment. But you can shave the night before to make sure that the hair isn't too long. It is important to shave all the areas that will be treated in your appointment.

During Your Appointment

For your first laser hair removal appointment, you can expect the following:

-You will be greeted at the front desk and they will get you to sign a health history form and a consent form
-You will be asked a series of questions to figure out your skin type and lifestyle in order to determine any contraindications you might have and to make a safe and effective plan
-After, your technician will take you to a room and get you to answer any last minute questions you might have about the treatment.
-You will be left in the room to change (if necessary)
-You will then be given protective eyewear against the lasers light
