Uncle Wiener's Wholesale Opens at the Old Fort Mac Airport Terminal on June 20 with Family-Frien
EntSun News/11093621
Working Folks' Superstore takes over the historic old terminal building, bringing wholesale pricing on tools, outdoor gear, and everyday essentials to Fort McMurray with a free, family-focused community event
EDMONTON, Alberta - EntSun -- Uncle Wiener's Wholesale, the Edmonton-headquartered, woman-owned retailer known for wholesale prices on tools, home goods, outdoor gear, and farm and industrial equipment, is opening its newest location inside the former Fort McMurray Airport terminal at 501 Snow Eagle Drive on Friday, June 20, 2026 at 9:00 AM.
The old terminal, a building familiar to nearly every Fort McMurray resident, has been transformed into a full-scale wholesale retail destination. Customers will now browse aisles of tools, trailers, outdoor gear, farm and industrial supplies, and home goods, all at wholesale prices.
The grand opening is built as a community event, not a sales push. The day will feature free hot dogs and drinks for everyone, bouncy castles, cold treats, and activities for kids, 10% off the entire store, flash sales rolling out throughout the day, a Door Crasher Shelf with limited-quantity deals, and giveaways and contests for shoppers of all ages. Customers who spend $50 or more in-store on opening day can also take part in the Receipt promotion, redeeming their receipt for $5 off their next online order at unclewiener.com.

"Fort McMurray is a hard-working community, and that's exactly who we're built for," said the Uncle Wiener's team. "We wanted opening day to feel like a real welcome, not a sales pitch. Free food, bouncy castles, cold treats for the kids, and the doors wide open. People don't have to buy a thing to come hang out. We just want to get to know our new neighbours."
Event details:
Media, community partners, families, and the public are all welcome.
