THE LEAGUE: Where Basketball Meets Culture in the Heart of LA — Played at The Surgeon
EntSun News/11069961
"From celebrity courtside moments to brand power plays, THE LEAGUE turns The Surgeon into LA's ultimate cultural arena."
LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- What started as a vision by Ron Abaekobe has evolved into one of Los Angeles' most magnetic cultural events. The League isn't just about basketball anymore it's about the worlds of music, fashion, sport, and celebrity colliding in one unforgettable night.
The energy courtside is just as important as the action on the floor, thanks to Allen Gharakhani, Head of Hospitality. Known for crafting the kind of VIP experiences that rival Hollywood premieres, Allen has turned the sidelines into a destination in their own right — a place where athletes, celebrities, and influencers don't just watch the game, they live it.
While the stars lit up the court and the cameras captured every courtside moment, much of The League's magic came from behind the scenes. At the center of it was Jonathan Buckridge, whose company Loyalink (formerly RepBets) handled ticketing and interactive engagement for the night.

Buckridge summed up his vision simply: "Our mission this season is to elevate every touchpoint," he explained. "We want fans to feel like they're part of the show — connected, immersed, and engaged."
By weaving digital interaction with live entertainment, Loyalink helped turn The Surgeon into more than a basketball venue it became an immersive cultural playground for fans and VIPs alike.
Production house Meme House made sure of that. With cutting-edge visuals, music drops, and halftime energy, they transformed The Surgeon into more than a venue it became a stage where basketball doubled as performance art.
And of course, no League night is complete without its celebrity courtside moments. Justin and Hailey Bieber drew the biggest flashes, styled in their signature laid-back looks, while Machine Gun Kelly and boxing champ Ryan Garcia brought high-octane energy to the VIP section. The spotlight kept moving: Love Island alumni mixed with fans, Kyle Massey celebrated his birthday alongside fiancée Hana Benatar, and a wave of creators brought their influence offline and into the room.

Instagram star Ne3on Singh was everywhere, joined by content creators Ryan Garcia (fashion/lifestyle), Jeremiah Brown, and Pepe Garcia, all of whom brought the digital edge of LA culture into the fold. On the hardwood, Millzy blurred the line between athlete and creator, proving that the game itself is still at the core. Meanwhile, creatives like Annabelle Azadé, Charis Michelsen, Jamonie Lee, Rocky Rock, Natasha Blasick, and OFB Yung added their own flavor to a night that felt more like a cultural summit than just a basketball game.
From its home at The Surgeon to the powerhouse team behind it, The League is reshaping what a sports event can be. Each week, it feels less like a game and more like a movement one that's turning LA into the epicenter where sneakers, celebrity, and culture collide.
