Texas: Governor Abbott Reappoints Three To San Jacinto River Authority Board Of Directors

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed three individuals to the San Jacinto River Authority Board of Directors. Wil Faubel, Stephanie Johnson, and Rick Mora, M.D. will continue to serve on the board until October 16, 2029.
The San Jacinto River Authority is a government agency with a mission to develop, conserve, and protect the water resources of the San Jacinto River basin. These reappointments demonstrate the governor's confidence in their abilities to fulfill this important role.
Wil Faubel, a resident of Montgomery, brings over forty years of experience in the oilfield services industry to the board. He currently serves as senior business development and corporate advisor at Novomet USA Inc. Faubel is also a lifelong member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and has previously served as a board member for the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association. In addition, he is an active member of the Lake Conroe Association. Faubel holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
Stephanie Johnson, also from Montgomery, has retired after a successful career in industrial engineering and operations with UPS. She currently serves as president of the Ladies Association of Walden and holds positions on several other community organizations including treasurer for Walden Section 5 Homeowners Association and secretary for Walden Community Improvement Association. Johnson is also involved in various volunteer activities such as Love Heals Youth and Walden Social Network. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lamar University.

Rick Mora, M.D., hailing from Spring, is an anesthesiologist and transitional medical director for Envision Health. He previously served as chief of anesthesiology at Memorial Hermann Hospital of The Woodlands. Mora is a member of both the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists and American Society of Anesthesiologists. He has also held leadership positions in various organizations such as chair of the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and founding board member of the non-profit, Los Doctores de The Woodlands. Mora holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature and pre-medicine from the University of California at Berkeley and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He is also a military veteran, having served eight years in both the Army National Guard and Texas National Guard.
