Texas: Governor Abbott Appoints Zrubek To State Employee Charitable Campaign Policy Committee

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Terry Zrubek to the State Employee Charitable Campaign Policy Committee. Zrubek, who hails from Thorndale, will serve on the committee for a term that will end on September 1, 2027.

The State Employee Charitable Campaign Policy Committee plays a crucial role in developing rules and procedures for the State Employee Charitable Campaign. They also review the recommended campaign plan to ensure its effectiveness.

Zrubek brings a wealth of experience to this position. He currently serves as the deputy executive director of Texas Economic Development & Tourism (EDT) within the Office of the Governor. Prior to this, he worked in the private sector at Newell Rubbermaid Inc., a Fortune 500 Company. He has also held various positions at organizations such as the Texas Department of Public Safety, State Senator Steve Ogden's office, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Lower Colorado River Authority, and under Governors Rick Perry and Greg Abbott.

Aside from his professional achievements, Zrubek also volunteers his time as a tennis coach for Thorndale High School's tennis team. He holds a Bachelor of Business in Finance from Texas State University and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in corporate finance from St. Edward's University. Additionally, he has completed the Governor's Executive Development Program at The University of Texas at Austin LBJ School of Public Affairs.

With his extensive background and dedication to public service, Zrubek is well-equipped to contribute to the success of the State Employee Charitable Campaign Policy Committee.
