Teen Artist Takes Anime on the Road

Sixteen year old Pop/Rock artist headlines the nation's 1st multi-genre anime & pop/rock music tour.
JOPLIN, Mo. - EntSun -- On Saturday July 16th, Joplin, MO will mark the first stop on the nationwide Akuma World tour. The Anime & Pop festival will transform downtown Landreth Park along with many other cities across the US into a temporary mini city for Japanese art & live music. Fans can engage with interactive selfies structures, gaming tents, giant lawn games, cosplay contests and a branded food & merch vendor village. Akuma World serves as a celebration for the launch of the headlining artist's official single "Favorite."
The tour was carefully curated by New York teen Akuma and his management team. Akuma gained notoriety through a popular recording studio app called Rapchat. Since uploading his original music to his profile he has amassed tens of thousands of loyal followers through that online community. He then used that adoration as an outlet to drop new songs frequently and to engage in collaborations with other community artists. The process served as a vehicle for him to sharpen his skills as a musician and to also escape from the tumult of his own personal life's struggles. "Headlining this tour allows me to connect with other fans who feel just a bit disassociated from their peer groups, explains Akuma. I want my songs and my appreciation for anime to resonate with as many people as possible."

Because of his young age and full-time status as a high school student, it created a barrier for touring throughout the year. So the team hits the road during summer break. In each city he will be joined by varying supporting artists. Prior to the tour he will be shooting a new series called "Breaking Akuma" to chronicle the journey of "making it" in the industry.
