EntSun News/10901855
Fundraiser was an "Unqualified Success" says Take The Lead's Co-Founder
NEW YORK - EntSun -- A Women's Equality Day fundraiser for Take The Lead (https://www.taketheleadwomen.com/), a nationally recognized non-profit dedicated to achieving gender and racial leadership parity by 2025, was an unqualified success, says the organization's Co-Founder and President Gloria Feldt, bringing in more than $100,000 in pledges. The monies raised will fund Take The Lead's in-person and virtual training, coaching, and consulting offerings, including its popular "9 Leadership Power Tools to Advance Your Career", a self-paced online course for women who want to embrace their power to lead with intention and confidence. Door Dash, the online food ordering and food delivery platform, was a sponsor. Emmy-nominated concert pianist and composer Marina Arsenijevic was the featured performer. The event can be streamed here: https://www.taketheleadwomen.com/events/equalit....

"I am so appreciative of the support Take The Lead received during our benefit," says Feldt. "With the well-discussed she-cession caused by Covid-19 decimating the ranks of women in the workplace, Take The Lead is on the frontlines in putting women at the center of the economic recovery. The funds we raised will be instrumental in our ability to expand our services and network to assist even more women."
Arsenijevic, who performed multiple solos, was also accompanied by violinist Sonia Lee and tenor John Riesen. "Their music was beautiful, exquisite," says Feldt. "They all donated their time and talent, and for that, I will always be thankful. They went above and beyond for us." In between musical sets, alumnae of Take The Lead's programs shared their reflections on how the organization supported their professional growth and development as leaders in their fields. The actor Rhodessa Jones was also featured, speaking on the importance of and contributions made by Take The Lead in its seven-year existence including during Covid-19.
