The Hylebos Bridge is closed today while crews work to inspect its centerlock. This work is anticipated to be completed by August 27.
The centerlock is a vital safety component that engages when the bridge is closed, locking the spans together to ensure stability for vehicles and preventing the spans from lifting during transit. This part is essential to maintain the continued safe and reliable operation of the bridge.
