Staten Island to be Backdrop location for Upcoming Movie Mayday New York (c) 2025

Announced today by Triumph Donnelly Studios for their true accounts story on the December 16, 1960 plane crash over New Dorp Staten Island between a TWA Constellation and a United 707 which took 124 lives from the planes crashing into each other. The true story shall depict the horrific crash, why it happened, how it could have been prevented and more by the main character Captain Stich.  The TWA crashed on Miller Field in New Dorp Staten Island during a massive snow storm while the United crashed in Park Slope Brooklyn, NY on that day. Seven people died as well on the ground on that day. The crash has been investigated many years ago by the FAA which stated it may have been caused by the United plane not following the correct flight plan from Idlewild Airport now JFK Airport.

The story has taken many years to compile as a true story a new screenplay is now in the works for a production in mid 2025. While Staten Island is the back drop location , Brooklyn as well will have scenes shot with limited CG to make the film as authentic as possible for a 1960 circa film. The lives lost shall nit be forgotten.
