Sportie LA's Isack Fadlon Launches The KOSHER Brand
EntSun News/10863117
Conversation begins with multilingual billboards, with "desire to lead a kind, decent, compassionate life" as our common ground
LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- "Together" isn't how we're in it, but rather, how we will get through it. This is the sentiment behind The KOSHER Brand, founded by Isack Fadlon of Sportie LA fame and introduced through multiple billboards displaying the word "Kosher" in a host of languages (15 to be exact, see list below). The call to action "Wrap it around your head February 2021" is followed by the URL, TheKosherBrand.com, where the brand's product line - initially comprising hats and tees - will be available for purchase beginning this week.
"Beyond the perception of 'kosher' as it pertains to dietary observances, it is widely used as a symbol of all things fair and equitable," explained Fadlon, who launched iconic indie retailer Sportie LA with sister Orna Amzaleg in 1985 (the Melrose mainstay is still going strong). "Of course, equity means different things to different people, but what we all hopefully share is the desire to lead a kind, decent, compassionate life. The sincerity of that wish is our common ground."

The brand's message of unity will be reflected in its products, as well as forthcoming content to be posted to its site and social media channels.
Fadlon also plans to launch KEEP IT KOSHER, through which a portion of its proceeds will go to leading organizations combating hate and extremism. KEEP IT KOSHER will also support public education, a mission in which Fadlon has been engaged for several years, including an annual Teacher Appreciation Week campaign to gift educators and staff with shoes and sneakers, courtesy of footwear brands.
