~ As the Old Trails Fire continues to be contained, residents of Spokane are now able to return to their homes. However, with the reduced fire risk comes new concerns over potential hazardous materials exposure. In response, the city has announced that personal protective equipment (PPE) will be available for those returning home on Tuesday.

Erin Hut, the Communications Director for Spokane, stated that PPE kits will be distributed at three staging sites throughout the city. These sites include the corner of Windriver Dr., the entrance of Woodside, and the shoulder of Rifle Club Road. The distribution will take place on Tuesday, August 11 from 2 to 6 p.m.
