EntSun News/11093734
~ Spokane, WA - The Egypt National Team is gearing up for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and will be holding an open training session for a select group of ticketed fans at Gonzaga University's Luger Field on June 10 at 12 p.m. This rare opportunity will allow fans and community members to witness one of Africa's most renowned footballing nations prepare for the global stage.
According to Erin Hut, Communications Director for the City of Spokane, this event is free for fans but tickets are required. Due to regulations from FIFA and Egypt, tickets are extremely limited and will be distributed through a random selection process. Fans can claim up to two tickets per person by filling out the ticket claim form, which will go live on Wednesday at 9 a.m. and close at 9 p.m.
The open training session has been made possible through the collaboration between the City of Spokane and Gonzaga University, who were selected as Egypt's Team Base Camp Training Site for FIFA World Cup 2026™. This site will serve as a "home away from home" for the national team during the tournament, providing a centralized location for training sessions, player workouts, team meetings, and staff operations.
Gonzaga University President Katia Passerini expressed her excitement about hosting this event, stating that it is an "extraordinary honor" for both Gonzaga and Spokane. She also added that this open training session will allow the community to share in the excitement of this global event.
