Despite misophonia impacting millions, practical, accessible guidance for managing the condition remains rare. Hayes-Raymond's book helps bridge this gap, drawing on her years of experience in both advocacy and clinical practice to provide a clear path forward.

"The emotional distress caused by misophonia is complex and requires specialized tools," says Hayes-Raymond. "My goal with CBT for Misophonia was to create a structured framework that both empowers therapists and gives individuals the self-help tools necessary to manage their daily lives. It's about learning to move from constant reaction to empowered coping."

Key Highlights of the Book:
  • Dual Resource: Functions as a clinician's protocol manual and a self-guided workbook for individuals.
  • The CBT-MISO Method: A structured 10-week plan with worksheets for understanding cognitive patterns, sensory responses, and effective coping skills.
  • Advocacy-First Approach: Focuses on accommodation and adaptation, promoting an empathetic and collaborative path to navigating the world with misophonia.
