VENTURA, Calif. - EntSun -- Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG) is hosting a free "Farm Day Every Day" tour at Brokaw Nursery in Ventura, Saturday, February 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Visitors will tour the nursery to get a behind-the-scenes look at how plants are grown and cared for. Brokaw Nursery produces over 300,000 plants, including avocados and fruit varieties, and exports them to farmers and landscapers locally and worldwide. Family-owned and in business for 60 years, Brokaw Nursery will share its expertise in avocado plants and nursery production.
"SEEAG's Farm Day Every Day tours give the public the opportunity to step inside a working agricultural operation and learn directly from local growers," says Hector Flores, SEEAG's marketing and communications manager. "We're grateful to Brokaw Nursery for opening its doors and partnering with SEEAG to make this educational experience possible."
