Renowned Psychiatrist Dr. Deirdre Evans-Cosby Joins The Veteran Social Circle™

ALPHARETTA, Ga. - EntSun -- Douglasville, GA – The Veteran Social Circle proudly announces the addition of Dr. Deirdre Evans-Cosby, MD, as a lead mental health advisor and community voice for healing. With over 20 years of psychiatric excellence, Dr. Evans-Cosby brings unmatched clinical knowledge, compassion, and commitment to veteran wellness.

A board-certified psychiatrist and graduate of Meharry Medical College, Dr. Evans-Cosby completed her residency at Morehouse School of Medicine, where she now serves as Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and Director of the Psychiatry Residency Training Program. She also holds a leadership role at Grady Memorial Hospital's outpatient mental health clinic and has served as Vice Chair of Morehouse's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Her clinical expertise spans depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia, and culturally sensitive care for underserved communities. A recipient of multiple teaching awards, Dr. Evans-Cosby is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Now, through The Veteran Social Circle, she's helping launch mental wellness bootcamps, curriculum workshops, and stigma-reducing programs as part of The Reconnection Initiative — a transformative outreach program for veterans and long-term care communities.
