Reducing Noise is Key Aspect of AI's Social Licence
EntSun News/11098883
Let's Not Forget the People Directly Affected by Data Centre Noise
SYDNEY - EntSun -- Prime Minister Albanese in his recent keynote speech on AI said, "We can determine AI's social licence." Reducing noise of data centres is a vital aspect of AI's social licence. However, noise is often overlooked until it is too late. No one should be subject to the constant low-frequency noise that comes from data centres 24/7.
Noizend is developing complementary technology to reduce low-frequency sound at the source at data centres thus greatly improving the wellbeing of local residents.
"Noizend's technology builds upon the proven science of active noise," said George Tulloch CTO.
Current zoning development approval standards do not adequately account for the testing and impact of harmful low-frequency noise. The Government's proposed national AI standards need to properly account for low-frequency data centre sound. This applies not only in the establishment of AI data centres but more importantly in the on-going compliance.

Paul Monsted CEO said, "It is a question of fairness that families living nearby should not bear the noise impacts of AI."
Recent class actions against xAI and Microsoft in the USA for data centre noise means that this issue needs to be addressed upfront before noise becomes a problem.
Contact Noizend now to learn more about the innovative Australian sovereign technology solution we are developing for the serious social problem of data centre noise.
