Q&A with Homegrown Sporting Goods president Jim Zetts

BOULDER, Colo. - EntSun -- Kelly:  Tell me about the new Homegrown Hockey uniforms and when did they come out?

Jim:  We developed a basic sublimated hockey jersey back in 2022 but this full line is new and fully revised for the 2026 fall season.  We rolled them out to a large league in late 2025 for feedback.  We have 15 new hockey items including a deluxe pro level hockey jersey with unlimited tackle twill / embroidery for under $100 and several sublimated jersey styles including a new hybrid hockey jersey with sewn striping. All Homegrown Hockey uniform items can be mix and matched for quantity discounts.

Kelly:  I saw the Homegrown Hockey Bags are those new too?

Jim:  Yes, we have 3 new in house developed hockey bags which include a premium roller bag, PVC coated and sublimated hockey bag.  All 3 hockey bag styles are available in 40+ custom colors, nylon webbing and include unlimited embroidery, tackle twill or sublimated logos & numbers.

Kelly:  How are these items different vs. the brands you already sell?

Jim: We've been very successful selling Athletic Knit , Kobe & Pearsox brand items for over 20 years but wanted to offer flat rate pricing for fully customized jerseys, socks, shells and bags.  Our line also has some premium level features not offered in the current marketplace.  For example, stitched applique twill logos, waffle textured shoulders and fight straps come standard on our Homegrown 595C deluxe pro hockey jerseys.

Kelly:  Are fight straps even necessary since fighting isn't allowed at just about all levels of hockey?

Jim:  Your right, outside of professional hockey leagues, fighting isn't permitted.  We however wanted to include them as we wanted teams to know that these are authentic / pro level jerseys and no features were sparred, nothing left off compared to what you would have on actual pro hockey jersey.

Kelly:  Are there any new Homegrown Hockey items in the pipeline?

Jim:  Yes, we have several items in development including two new hockey hoodie styles, a hockey warm up suit and another potential sublimated hockey bag for spring 2027.
