Atlanta City Councilman Michael Julian Bond joins the July 30 Community Day of Service as Project 730 provides hot meals, haircuts, hygiene products, clothing, and essential resources.

ATLANTA - EntSun -- Project 730, a Georgia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing homelessness, hunger, and food insecurity, will host two signature events this summer to provide critical resources to Atlanta's unhoused community while raising awareness and support for long-term solutions.

The organization's Annual Community Day of Service will take place Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Oakland City Station, 1400 Lee Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30310. The event coincides with the birthday of Project 730 founder Taris Moore, whose vision of serving others through acts of kindness inspired the creation of the nonprofit.

Atlanta City Councilman Michael Julian Bond will join Project 730 in support of the Community Day of Service. Councilman Bond and his office will sponsor the event's food drive, helping expand access to food, essential care items, and community resources for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or hardship.

Services provided during the event will include hot meals, free haircuts, hygiene products, clothing, non-perishable food, MARTA Breeze Cards, housing resources, medical resources, employment assistance, music, and additional support services. Community organizations, healthcare providers, workforce agencies, nonprofit partners, faith-based groups, civic organizations, volunteers, and donors are encouraged to participate.

Project 730 will continue the weekend's activities on Saturday, August 1, 2026, with its annual P.U.R.P.L.E. Fête (People Uplifting Real People's Lives Effectively) from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Atlanta City Hall, 155 Trinity Avenue SW, Atlanta, GA 30303. The fundraising gala will bring together community leaders, elected officials, nonprofit partners, business professionals, donors, and supporters to celebrate service, recognize community impact, and raise funds for Project 730's year-round outreach initiatives.

Founded in 2017 by Taris Moore at age 17, Project 730 began as a birthday act of service providing food and care packages to individuals experiencing homelessness. Following Taris' passing in 2020, her mother, Tiffany Moore, and supporters committed to carrying forward her legacy of compassion, dignity, and service.
