More Than 25,000 People Showed The World Last Night That Political Cronyism Does Not Outweigh The Heartfelt Concerns About The Health, Safety, And Wellbeing Of Every Pulaski County Resident.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - EntSun -- Last night, Judge Wendell Griffen defeated two-term incumbent, Barry Hyde, in the Democratic Primary For Pulaski County Judge in Arkansas. The incumbent spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on radio, television, and social media advertising and did not attend any candidate forums. However, more than 25,000 voters rejected having their needs disregarded by a callous administration and voted for change. The Pulaski County Election Commission reported that Judge Wendell Griffen received 63% of the approximately 41,000 votes cast.
"Our victory is a resounding statement that Pulaski County is not for sale. We care about our workers and want them to be treated fairly. We want their spouses to be covered by paid health insurance. We want to protect Pulaski County from rapacious development bottomed on greed," states Judge Wendell Griffen. "We also want to preserve and pass to our grandchildren air, water, and land that is healthy. And, we want County government that is fair, accountable, inclusive, transparent, and trustworthy."
