Peachtree Immediate Care Opens Second Urgent Care in Athens

ATHENS, Ga. - EntSun -- Peachtree Immediate Care, Georgia's most comprehensive urgent care network, opened its second urgent care clinic in Athens on Monday, December 29, 2025. Peachtree Immediate Care - Athens East is located at 995 Gaines School Rd, Athens, Georgia 30605, at the corner of Cedar Shoals Drive and Gaines School Road, across from Gaines Elementary and Johnny's Pizza.

The 3,600-square-foot facility features seven exam rooms to treat patients with non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, provide immunizations, conduct physical examinations, perform X-rays, offer diagnostic testing, provide employer and occupational health services, and offer select primary care services.

Peachtree Immediate Care Athens East also provides on-site medication dispensing for selected medications, including Tamiflu®, to address the needs of individuals diagnosed with the flu. On-site medication dispensing allows patients to receive prescriptions promptly and conveniently at an affordable cost without an additional trip to a third-party pharmacy. Most on-site medications are only $10.

The location is temporarily open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with plans to open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in early 2026. Patients can make an appointment up to 24 hours in advance and check the number of patients in line at peachtreemed.com. Walk-in patients are accepted and expected at every Peachtree Immediate Care location.

Peachtree Immediate Care accepts over 40 insurance plans and offers transparent self-pay pricing for individuals without insurance. All Peachtree Immediate Care clinics employ a team of medical providers, including board-certified physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and highly trained clinical and support staff, such as medical assistants and emergency medical technicians.
