NYC Filmmaker Debuts a Weird Short Film - Call Now Your Fantasy Awaits - Dec 19th 8PM EST
EntSun News/11045584
Inspired by those 80s and 90s late night hotline commercials. This short film may make you feel naughty at first but not for long.
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - EntSun -- Tagline: Your Fantasy Awaits… But You Might Want a Refund.
Logline: In a bizarre twist on 80s and 90s hotline commercials, three beautiful women promise to fulfill your fantasy—but one random call could connect you to the one operator you definitely don't want.
Brooklyn, NY – Christopher Wells, a Brooklyn-based filmmaker known for his dark humor and incisive social commentary, is set to premiere his latest weird short film, Call Now Your Fantasy Awaits, inspired by the ultra-cheesy hotline commercials from the 80s and 90s.
Wells explores the odd allure and absurdity of these commercials, channeling the humor and ambiguity that are hallmarks of his filmmaking style.
"I always thought those commercials were a bit tacky, even laughable, and yet oddly enticing," says Wells. "The phone operators must have been like sexy dungeon masters, creating fantasies on the fly to keep callers engaged. I've taken that retro concept and added my own weird and ambiguous twist."

Wells, celebrated for blending absurdity with meaningful social critiques in films like Don't Litter in Prospect Park and Are You Happy with Pickles the Clown, invites viewers to consider whether his latest work carries a deeper commentary or is simply an exercise in offbeat entertainment. Shot entirely on the iPhone 15 Pro, the film demonstrates Wells' ability to create professional and thought-provoking content with minimal resources. This film features three very talented actresses: Cris Cordero, Hillary Sproul, and Sophia Campbell.
Wells' work often toes the line between bizarre humor and critical reflection, inviting viewers to see the world through a new lens.
The film will premiere on Wells' popular YouTube channel (Christopher Wells filmmaker) on Thursday at 8 PM EST.- https://youtu.be/kMspN4XeXHw
Private screeners available.
