How does Red Light Therapy work?

As we age, our cells become overwhelmed by free radicals. When that happens, the cells are unable to absorb enough oxygen to perform their daily functions, which causes even more stress on the cell, triggering oxidative stress. Oxidative Stress is considered to be the precursor to all major disease.

Red and Near-Infrared light can penetrate the deep tissues of the body. Specific wavelengths of Red Light trigger the cell to release oxygen-blocking free radicals. The Mitochondria (the power plant of the cell) is then able to take in oxygen, which increases cellular energy (ATP), triggering cellular repair, and reversing oxidative stress.
