New Orleans Presents Official Proclamation to CRM Author Advocate Dr. Rhonda Lawson

NEW ORLEANS - EntSun -- The City of New Orleans formally honored Dr. Rhonda Lawson with an official proclamation during the recent Ivory and Cream Affair Jazz Brunch, the flagship event of the 10th Annual Black History Month Literary Weekend, an event she founded in January 2017.

The proclamation, presented by Councilman Eugene Green and signed by all members of the New Orleans City Council, recognized Dr. Lawson's longstanding contributions to literature, author advocacy, and cultural empowerment. In a powerful extension of the moment, Councilman Green, the event's guest speaker, also presented proclamations to each of the 13 featured authors, underscoring the city's commitment to honoring literary excellence and cultural impact.

"To be recognized by my hometown on my milestone year of the Black History Month Literary Weekend was a true honor," said Dr. Lawson. "This proclamation solidifies my commitment to the written word and to the importance of protecting and uplifting creators in every space."

A native of New Orleans, Dr. Lawson is an accomplished author, book coach, publisher, and
founder of Meet the World Image Solutions, a publicity and literary services company focused on supporting authors, entertainers, and business owners. With more than 30 years of writing and editorial experience and over two dozen published works, she has dedicated her career to elevating writers and expanding opportunities for independent authors nationwide.

Dr. Lawson also serves as the author advocate for the Creators' Rights Movement, where she works to educate writers about intellectual property ownership, fair publishing practices, and sustainable platform building. Through this role, she continues to champion creative control and professional excellence for authors across genres.

The Ivory and Cream Affair brought together authors, entrepreneurs, and community leaders in a celebration of literature, achievement, and cultural pride. The City Council's unified recognition highlights the vital role writers and literary advocates play in preserving and shaping the narrative of the community.
