Naples Airport releases 2025 Annual Report

NAPLES, Fla. - EntSun -- The Naples Airport Authority has released its 2025 Annual Report, noting significant achievements in environmental sustainability, noise abatement, fiscal accountability and other areas.

Naples Airport receives no local taxpayer support. It is primarily funded through fuel sales, hangar rentals and other services.

Notable milestones cited in the 2025 Annual Report include:

Sustainability: Naples Airport earned the Florida Airports Council's 2025 Benjamin J. Siwinski Sustainability Award and Florida Recycling Foundation's 2025 Recycling Champions Award for transformative fuel and fleet electrification initiatives aimed at reducing emissions, improving air quality and promoting sustainability in aviation. Through a partnership with AvFuel, Naples Airport became the first airport on the East Coast to publicly offer a regular supply of Sustainable Aviation Fuel, a cleaner fuel that represented 20% of aviation fuel sales in 2025. The airport received a new Tiger Dam flood barrier system designed to protect buildings, equipment and technology against storm surge.

Noise Abatement: After years of study, the FAA approved new flight paths for Naples Airport designed to enhance safety, increase efficiency and reduce noise. Airplanes are now descending at a steeper slope and flying in holding patterns over less populated areas. Naples Airport launched a new app in partnership with EnviroSuite that makes it easier to submit noise complaints.

Safety: Naples Aviation, the sole fixed-base operator (FBO) at the Naples Airport, achieved one of the highest safety milestones in the aviation industry. International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) Stage 2 certification from the International Business Aviation Council acknowledges superior safety and efficiency of airport ground services, along with the consistent implementation and maturity of a robust safety management system over time. Operation Final Approach, an FAA-required full-scale emergency training exercise, brought together dozens of first responders, local agencies and airport personnel to prepare for real-world emergencies.

Fiscal Accountability: The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the Naples Airport Authority for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.

Community Engagement: Naples Airport hosted dozens of engagement activities, including Plane Talk information sessions, and sponsored multiple community events. A Community Sentiment Survey, an independent survey conducted by American Pulse, found overwhelming support from Naples and Collier County residents.

Aviation Leadership: National Air Transportation Association reappointed Executive Director Chris Rozansky to a three-year term on the NATA Board of Directors; he also was named to the Board of Directors of the Florida Airports Council Executive Committee. Deputy Director of Aviation Justin Lobb was elected as vice chair of the Florida Airport's Council General Aviation Committee and Director of Operations and Maintenance Barry Brown was elected as vice chair of the Florida Airport's Council Facilities Committee.
