Mesa: Volunteers Needed for Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom on July 4

~ The City of Mesa is gearing up for the 2026 Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom, and they are in need of volunteers to make this year's event the coolest Independence Day festival in the state. The city is seeking individuals, families, friends, and corporations to help out with various tasks during the festival.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to choose from multiple times and shifts, including working at the splash zone, carnival games, entertainment booths, and information booths. In addition to being a part of this exciting event, volunteers will also receive a commemorative t-shirt, a free meal, snacks, cold drinks, and be entered into a raffle for prizes.
To be eligible to volunteer, individuals must be at least 16 years old. However, those who are 14 years old can participate if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Registration for volunteer opportunities is available online.

The Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom will take place on Saturday, July 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center campus located at 263 N. Center St. This free patriotic event is known as the biggest and best in Arizona and offers something for everyone. Attendees can enjoy live music performances, pro wrestling matches, historic flag displays, a Fallen Soldiers Memorial, laser light shows and much more.
This year's event will also feature new additions such as a drone show sponsored by NTT Global Data Centers and an expanded display of military vehicles. The celebration will culminate with a Salute to America and an impressive fireworks display.
The Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom is made possible by the generous support of sponsors including the City of Mesa; Mesa Convention Center; Mesa Amphitheatre; Mesa Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities; Sertoma Club; Mesa Recycles; Mesa Chamber of Commerce; Visit Mesa; Downtown Mesa Association; Benedictine University; Boeing; NTT Data; Semper Fi Heating and Cooling; and United Food Bank.
