The Icla da Silva Foundation will recognize Dr. Vickers and Dr. Alexandre de Moura at its annual Gala, raising funds to support underserved patients in need of a bone marrow transplant.

NEW YORK - EntSun -- The Icla da Silva Foundation will host its 2025 Hope Gala at the elegant University Club of New York. This annual benefit assists patients in need of a bone marrow transplant by removing the financial and emotional barriers that stand between them and a cure.

Two distinguished medical leaders are being honored at this year's Gala: Dr. Selwyn M. Vickers, President and CEO of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Dr. Alexandre B. de Moura, Founder and Director of New York Spine Institute. Both are being recognized for their decades-long commitment to medical innovation and compassionate care.

The Hope Gala is known for its purpose-driven mission and long-standing dedication to patients in need. This prestigious event takes place on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. The evening includes a cocktail reception, formal dinner, dancing, and a silent auction. More than 250 dedicated supporters, including leaders from business, healthcare, and philanthropy, will join in support of underserved patients fighting for their lives.

Proceeds from the event help patients and families cover the costs associated with treatment, including transportation, housing, and meals, expenses that are rarely covered by insurance. Most of the Foundation's patients come from underserved communities and face overwhelming challenges as they pursue a lifesaving transplant. The Foundation steps in to ensure no one is left behind because of cost or circumstance.

Early Bird ticket pricing is available through July 18. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for those who wish to deepen their impact.
