Melissa Disney, "Faceless Sass" SAG Awards Announcer, In Two Upcoming Animated Films

LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- Recently featured in IndieWire as the "Faceless Sass" awards announcer at the SAG Awards, Melissa Disney ("As Told By Ginger", "Superman vs. The Elite") will voice characters in two upcoming animated feature films: The Croods 2 and Marmaduke. Meanwhile, Ms. Disney voices the promos for the upcoming 2020 Oscars which will air Sunday, February 9th on ABC. Additionally, Melissa will live announce the upcoming 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York on Thursday, March 19th.
The Croods 2, a DreamWorks production, continues the story of the quirky prehistoric family. Directed by Joel Crawford, the Croods are challenged by a rival family, the Bettermans, who claim to be superior and more evolved than the Croods. The film is currently in production with a release date of December 23, 2020. The upcoming film will feature the voice talents of Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) as Guy, Oscar-winner Nicholas Cage (Moonstruck, National Treasure, Gone in 60 Seconds) as Grug, and Oscar-winner Emma Stone (La La Land, Battle of the Sexes) as Eep.

Directed by Mark A.Z. Dippé (The Reef 2) and Matt Philip Whelan, Marmaduke is a feature length animated film currently in production by Legacy Classics. With a penchant for mischief but loyal to his family, Marmaduke is set in the world of elite dog shows, full of divas, rivalries, and slapstick comedy. The film will also feature the voice talents of Peter Davidson ("Saturday Night Live") as Marmaduke and Jason Anthony ("Hero Factory") as Ronnie.
Ms. Disney is currently performing in a festival of funny one acts, "NOT Into the Woods," as an older, disillusioned princess who is fed up with King Charming and meets with her lawyer to discuss the divorce terms but cannot help breaking out into song with all her woes. Written by Ryan Paul James and directed by Ronnie Marmo, the remaining showtimes are Thursday, January 30 at 8pm, Friday, January 31 at 8pm, and Saturday, February 1 at 8pm. Tickets are $20 each.
