Mauritania's Cissé Boide Selected as the 2025 Ambassador of the Year

WASHINGTON - EntSun -- Washington, DC – The National U.S. - Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC) – America's #1 commercial gateway to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) – this week honored Her Excellency Cissé Mint Cheikh Ould Boide, Mauritania's Ambassador to the United States, as the 2025 Ambassador of the Year.  The award, now in its 22nd year, is given annually to a member of the Arab diplomatic corps in the USA for his or her outstanding contributions to U.S. - Arab relations.

"Ambassador Boide has been remarkably effective in raising awareness about Mauritania and in building coalitions to support Mauritania – U.S. relations," said David Hamod, President & CEO of NUSACC.  "She has found innovative ways to keep her nation front and center in discussions about security in North Africa.  And now that natural gas has started to flow in Mauritania, she is playing an instrumental role in creating partnerships with the United States across multiple sectors."
