Madison: Streets Division Drop-off Sites Hours Expand Starting April 11, 2026; Quann-Olin Drop-off Site Opens
EntSun News/11088721
~ Starting on Saturday, April 11, 2026, the Streets Division drop-off sites in Madison will begin their summer hours. This announcement was made by the city's Streets Division in a press release on Friday.
The summer hours will be in effect from April 11 until December 3, 2026. All three drop-off sites located at 402 South Point Road, 4602 Sycamore Avenue, and the newly opened site at 1504 Quann-Olin Parkway will have the same operating hours. These hours are as follows: Monday from 7:30am to 2:30pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30am to 7:00pm, Wednesday and Sunday closed, Friday from 7:30am to 2:30pm, and Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
It is important to note that these drop-off sites are only available for use by Madison residents and property taxpayers. Proof of residency or taxpayer status must be presented when using the sites. Additionally, individuals are limited to one trip per day and the load must not exceed what can fit into the back of a pickup truck or single-axle trailer. More information about rules and regulations for using the drop-off sites can be found on the Streets Division's website.

The drop-off sites accept a variety of items including extra cardboard, excess recyclables, electronics, batteries, molded styrofoam pieces for recycling, cooking oil, yard waste, brush, appliances, large items, and excess trash. Residents can check if an item is accepted at the drop-off site by using the online Recyclopedia or by contacting the Streets Division for assistance.
The new drop-off site at Quann-Olin Parkway has a different entrance than previous locations. To access this site, individuals must turn onto Quann-Olin Parkway from Olin Avenue. Signs will be posted to guide residents to the new entrance when it opens on April 11, 2026. A map is also available on the Streets Division's website to help locate the entrance.
While most items are free to drop off, there are certain large items and appliances that have a charge for certain residents. A list of these specific items and their associated charges can be found on the Streets Division's website. Residents who are required to pay a fee can purchase a sticker in advance through the large item work order system, in person at Streets Division offices, or over the phone. The offices are located at 1501 W. Badger Rd and 4602 Sycamore Ave and are open from 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Stickers can also be purchased by mailing a check to the City of Madison Streets Division.
