Long Beach: City to Host Doing Business with the City Expo

Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach is gearing up to host its first-ever Doing Business with the City Expo. This in-person event, scheduled for Thursday, April 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Wardlow Park Social Hall, aims to provide businesses and nonprofits with valuable information on how to sell their goods and services to the City.
The Expo will not only focus on the City's procurement process, including vendor registration and certification, but also highlight opportunities related to the upcoming 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. With Long Beach set to play a significant role in hosting these global events, local businesses and nonprofits have a unique opportunity to get involved.
Attendees can expect presentations on various topics such as business support resources and specific procurement needs from different City departments. To ensure a smooth experience for all participants, interested businesses and nonprofits are encouraged to RSVP online. Interpretation services will also be available upon request.

This Expo is part of the City's ongoing efforts to increase accessibility, transparency, and local participation in its procurement process. In celebration of National Procurement Month in March, the City will also be sharing relevant content on its social media channels. Community members are encouraged to follow @LongBeachCity on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn and join the conversation using #LBProcurementMonth.
In addition to the Expo, businesses are invited to attend a monthly Doing Business with the City webinar on Thursday, March 19 at 11 a.m. This webinar will provide an overview of the procurement process and available resources. Interested participants can register online for Zoom meeting details.
