As of September 2024, the city has made 225 new liquor licenses available. This is a result of the 2024 legislation that aims to increase access to liquor licenses in the city.

In addition, starting January 2026, businesses with wine and malt beverage licenses will have the opportunity to upgrade to a non-transferable all alcoholic beverages license. This upgrade will allow them to serve a wider range of alcoholic beverages and potentially attract more customers.

For those interested in applying for a liquor license, the Licensing Board has provided step-by-step instructions on their website. These instructions will guide applicants through the process and ensure that all necessary requirements are met.
