La'Nardo Myrick Sr Producer 9-0 Is Building a Legacy Far Beyond Music
EntSun News/11098239
Kansas City creator La'Nardo Myrick Sr. reflects on reinvention, faith, technology and using every God-given talent to leave something meaningful behind.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - EntSun -- La'Nardo Myrick Sr. has never measured his life solely by money, celebrity or recognition.
Known creatively as Producer 9-0, the Kansas City entrepreneur, music producer, writer and technology developer has spent years moving between industries that many people would never think to connect. Music, membership organizations, live entertainment, education, software, literature and cultural preservation have all become part of one larger mission: to create something that lasts.
Myrick is candid that he is not among the wealthiest figures in entertainment or technology. He has not built his ventures with unlimited financing, a massive corporate staff or a famous name opening every door.
His newest entertainment venture, CypherYard Live, is being developed as an interactive destination for music discovery, artist showcases, rap battles, tournaments and live audience participation.

The upcoming College Circle platform is designed to connect students with campus organizations, events, career opportunities, wellness resources, grants, businesses and publicly available college information.
Myrick is also developing a historical cookbook project intended to preserve African American recipes with roots in the slavery era. The goal is to place recipes, cultural history and the stories surrounding Black food traditions into one accessible historical collection.
His creative work continues through new installments of Quiet Heir, an original literary series that combines family, power, survival, identity and legacy.
At the same time, Myrick has overseen the redevelopment of MRAA.ME, the online home of Music Recognition Accolades and Awards. Together, the projects show a creator unwilling to remain limited to one field.
While many entrepreneurs are encouraged to find one lane and stay in it, Myrick has chosen a different road. "He has leapfrogged the idea that a person must be limited to one or two spaces," the organization stated. "Each venture reflects another part of his experience, creativity and desire to contribute something useful."

Myrick also does not avoid discussing his past. He acknowledges that the name Producer 9-0 carries history, including mistakes, negative associations and decisions made when he was younger.
"Yes, there has been bad connected to it," Myrick said. "There have been negative connotations, and things happened in the past when I was a young fool. I cannot promise I will never make another mistake, because I am human. What I can do is make a conscious effort to be more creative, more positive and more useful to society."
That willingness to confront the past has become part of his evolving legacy.
His story is not one of overnight success. It is a story about continuing when resources are limited, learning publicly, turning past mistakes into future direction and refusing to believe that a person's most difficult chapter must become the final one.
Myrick's ventures may operate in different industries, but they are connected by one central belief: creativity is a responsibility.
To leave evidence that he was here—and that while he was here, he tried to build something that could help someone else.
